Security – on all levels

Safety during construction work extends from fire and burglar protection right up  to planning and delivery assurance. In order to be able to offer this on all levels, the door and gate specialist Teckentrup (Verl) has developed a comprehensive concept that embraces products as well as service. The company will present this programme for partners of craftsmanship and planning in detail at BAU 2015 (hall B3, stand 321).

At BAU 2015, Teckentrup will not only present its latest product innovations, it will also present the considerably expanded service programme for partners in craftsmanship and planning. "Security also means security for our partners. This is why we have become involved in consultancy and have developed new modules for this purpose", explains Teckentrup Director Meinolf Funkenmeier. These modules include a comprehensive range of seminars, trained advisors that are at home with the subjects of craftsmanship or architecture, a special partner programme for the maintenance of doors and helpful online tools in the company's Professional Portal. "Expanding services, keeping delivery times short – this is as important to us as high product quality", says Funkenmeier.

Classical safety aspects are paramount with regard to new products, including

  • Design safety: sophisticated wall attachments and improved mounting details simplify installation and reduce sources of error.
  • Fire protection: here, Teckentrup presents multifunctional fire doors that meet particularly-high aesthetic standards and can thus be used in representative rooms.
  • Public safety: the new prison cell doors prevent prisoners from escaping. Durability and functionality have been optimised here.
  • Thermal insulation: industrial sectional doors are now available with 80 millimetre thermal insulation core throughout, also in a transparent version as a fully-glazed door.

The trade fair programme is rounded off with very wide roller doors (up to 18 metres wide) as well as the new generation of garage door drives, "X.2".

"More service with safety – with this motto, we will present our comprehensive service offer to our trade fair visitors", says Meinolf Funkenmeier.
The fire door programme from Teckentrup stands for multifunctionality. In this example, the door is fire retardant in accordance with EN 1634-1 (DIN 4102) and smokeproof (DIN 18095). In the same way, different levels of intruder protection are possible (up to RC 4). In addition, sophisticated design details ensure easy and rapid assembly of the structural elements.
