Transparency in fire protection

The "Teckentrup GL" all-glass fire protection door is both aesthetic and functional, with maximum transparency. The T-30 element is now also available as a double-leaf version for wide passageways. Elegant stainless steel fittings complete the delicate look of the frameless design. With this optical restraint, the door blends easily into the room design leaving all options open for the exclusive interior décor.
To meet the growing demands on exclusive object architecture, even for fire protection products, the door manufacturer Teckentrup (Verl) have developed the smoke-proof T30 fire protection glass door "Teckentrup GL" as a frameless design with maximum transparency. Both the single- and double-leaf versions have been tested according to EN 1634-1.

Elegance in fire protection

The all-glass element opens up new possibilities for a very delicate, transparent and restrained architectural language. Its design-oriented details contribute significantly to its elegance: 3D special hinges, a special lock with a modern rotary handle fitting and the high-quality slide-rail door closer, each in stainless steel, underline the simple design of the door leaf, which is only 27 millimetres thick. Upon request, each door handle can be selected with fire safety approval instead of the standard design. This is particularly interesting for properties that have been planned in a unified design language. "With this door you can arrange room experiences where the element itself is hardly noticeable – passages appear open – the door is completely transparent, allowing a view through the entire inner door frame area. Nevertheless, the fire safety requirements are met", says Ingo Hahn, fire protection expert at Teckentrup of this feature. Optionally, with glued decorative films or individual screen printing in the inside of the pane, you can also design this transparency.

A retractable bottom seal ensures smoke protection. Optional extras such as panic function or door operator further expand the range of functional options. The door fits perfectly with any architectural style – whether it be masonry, concrete, aerated concrete or lightweight studded walls. Corner, counter, closed or block frames offer an optimal solution for every architectural situation.
