Ugly duckling becomes a design trend: Steel doors
Would a steel or stainless steel door suit your house- Doors made of this durable material are ideal as security doors or robust garage access doors, as heat insulated or sound-proof multi-purpose doors for a hobby room or as fire resistant doors for boiler rooms - or even as colourful and robust doors for a child-s room. Special surfaces, such as -beech- or -white ash- (from Teckentrup) create new door designs - the days of dull -metal doors- are a thing of the past.
Steel doors provide excellent protection against burglaries, loud noise, heat loss, fire and moisture. The particularly durable components can withstand adverse weather conditions due to anti-rust-protected and galvanized surfaces (standard with all Teckentrup doors). Furthermore, the attractive modern versions are even suitable as internal doors or external access doors for any house - the ugly boiler room door is no more.
Trendy: The -Teckentrup- internal door, example shown is for a child-s room. Since magnets stick to the steel doors there is less chance of your house being -decorated- with hard-to-remove stickers. Leverage-proof security doors with anti-drilling and extraction protection, multi locking and double layer door seal offer protection up to resistance class WK 2. They provide so much protection that an opportunist thief has no chance of breaking open the door without special tools. Heat insulated steel doors save energy. The double-skinned door leaf is filled with high-quality insulating material. Thus ensuring that the doors easily comply with German energy saving regulations (EnEv). Steel has always been first choice for fire protection - especially for boiler rooms. Example: The smoke and fire-proof door -Teckentrup T30-1 HT 8-D- is resistant to flames for 30 minutes, and is also sound and odour-proof. Similar to the -Teckentrup D- version: As a side entrance door from a house into a garage it provides fire protection (statutory regulation), prevents exhaust fumes entering the house, absorbs engine noises and, on request, offers burglar resistance.
The importance of design
Room doors should be warm, homely and attractive, but at the same time functional and robust. Steel really satisfies all these requirements. Its elegant flair has made steel doors a real trend product. A wide range of glazing elements, RAL colours, wood designs or stainless steel surfaces and door handles fulfil every home owner-s design wishes. The doors are resistant to stains, dimensionally stable and non-fading. Parents love the added benefits of steel doors, for example for a child-s room: Pictures and posters, etc. can be hung up using small magnets - say goodbye to annoying stickers! Little fingers and hands may smear tables and walls, but it is so easy to wipe clean steel surfaces.
