Teckentrup UK Limited and ABC Industrial Doors Limited are now wholly owned subsidiaries of Teckentrup GmbH!

Teckentrup UK Limited and ABC Industrial Doors Limited are delighted to announce they are now wholly owned subsidiaries of Teckentrup GmbH. Prior to today, both companies were in 50% ownership with Jim Rodger, Teckentrup UK’s founder and Teckentrup GmbH.

What’s changing?

Nothing and everything! Both companies will continue to trade as previously, Jim will remain, alongside Stephen Hilton, Managing Director, and the teams at both companies to drive further growth… …but with now full ownership in the hands of the “Teckentrup mothership” Teckentrup GmbH.

Why now?

Jim founded Teckentrup UK in 2008 and, just as the company turns “sweet sixteen”, Jim had this to say...

“We’ve been on an incredible journey and built an exceptional brand profile in both garage doors and our steel doors and industrial doors. The recent acquisition of ABC doors in 2022 created a group that is a one-stop door solution – manufacture, Install, repair and maintain. To take the group to the next level and really step things up in the UK, I know we’ll need the support, gravitas, financial strength and investment capability that Teckentrup GmbH has in spades, so the timing is absolutely right to pass the baton. I’m going nowhere, and customers that know me and those I’ve yet to meet, can expect the same drive and enthusiasm as we enter a new era and the opportunities the new ownership will bring.”

Teckentrup GmbH is also a family run enterprise, with a turnover of circa €200m, primarily in Germany. The full acquisition of the UK operations chimes perfectly with its ambitions to become more international, extending and consolidating its reach into the UK and other European countries.
