Paul Johnson joins as Production Manager with over 10 years in production management, having held positions in the manufacture of thermal and radar-controlled CCTV surveillance cameras and control systems.
Julie Murphy joins as Material and Production Planner, reporting to Paul Johnson. Julie arrives from Hyva, where she held the position of Supply Chain Manager and has extensive experience in the planning/purchasing arena with companies including General Electric and Honeywell over a 26-year period.
The market is at levels that present production challenges and Teckentrup has responded by moving to double shifts on both sectional and side hinged door lines. Under the watchful eyes of Paul and Julie the extra shifts add capacity and flexibility to help meet the increased demand.
Alongside capacity, processes and procedures are under a continuous improvement regime that has already brought timesaving efficiencies and is geared to ever-increasing quality.
We’re keen not just to improve how we make things but we also want to work with our customers to identify product changes that would make handling or installation easier – if there’s something that creates hassle for you or something that would be better if…, share it and we’ll see if we can come up with a solution.
If you like your machines, we’ve just placed the order for a state-of-the-art CNC cutter that will go online in January 2021. The £200K investment will allow the factory team to be much more productive with increased throughput speeds and also allow additional processes to be precision machined.
